USCIS (U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services) processes Form I-130 to allow citizens or lawful permanent residents to establish relationship to alien relatives who wish to immigrate to the United States.

Prerequisite: Petitioner must be a US Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.
Steps:
Step-1. Fill out form I-130.
Step-2. Provide documents that show you are a US citizen or Permanent Resident. See page 2 of Instructions. [1]
Step-3. Provide documents that prove family relationship. See page 2 of Instructions.
Step-4. Provide payment for filing fee by check or money order [2]. See page 4 of Instructions.
Step-5. File form I-130 to designated USCIS Lockbox Facility. See page 3 of Instructions.
Step-6. Wait for the approval of your application.
Step-7. Once approved, proceed to file Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status.
Process Time: 90 minutes + Wait time for approval
