Google Gears allows web applications–such as Zoho, Google Docs, or WordPress– to seamlessly interact with your desktop by storing data locally. It allows you to continue working with these apps even when you’re offline.

Prerequisite: Required browsers [1]

Steps:

Step-1: Go to the Application Site.

Step-2: Press the “Install Gears” button. If you’re using Safari, click on the Safari link first.

Step-3. Press “Agree and Download” on the Terms of Service.

Step-4. Google Gears will start downloading. Once complete, run or execute the downloaded file.

Step-5. Desktop will install the application.

Step-6. Restart your browser.
