Google Gears let web applications store data locally and interact naturally with your desktop. It runs JavaScript in the background to improve app performance.

Steps:
Step-1. Go to Application Site.
Step-2. Under Tools section, press “Enable Gears”. A pop-up screen will notify [2] the use of Gears.
Step-3. Mark a check on item “I trust this site. Allow it to use Gears.”
Step-4. Press “Allow”.
Step-5. Browser will update files. Once complete, local storage status will indicate “Update completed”. Google Gears is now set up for your WordPress account.
