The interesting part starts here. While these levels pose real danger, they are relatively surmountable. If at this point you’re not feeling the game, then do not force yourself to play. Take some time off and when you have gathered mental and physical energy to focus on the game, then that would be the right moment to proceed. Otherwise, the Lives you have accumulated up to now will disappear faster than you would have imagined. With that in mind, let’s continue.
Level 13
This level simply requires you to survive. You will not get any special functions here. As you have already known, as the game within a level progresses, the bricks gradually move a step down each time the ball touches your paddle, as illustrated by the green arrows. I normally launch the ball sideways as shown in red. This way, the ball will pass through the small opening on the way to breaking the nearly secluded bricks. Ninety percent of the time the ball just stays in that brick area getting things done. Hopefully that chance happens in Cycle 1 and 2. Otherwise, you will have to deal the ball controlling it with your paddle situated around the second-to-the-left cell area of the figure.
Level 14
The ball movement may not look exactly as drawn, but the idea is the same. The sooner you get the specials of the Y labled bricks, the better for your survival. The ideal special is Gun. If you get it, clear the three lowest bricks. It gives you space when the ball moves faster. Laser will also do the job, albeit slower. Multi can coexist with Gun or Laser. Catch is also an ultimate help. Hey, Catch may slow your game, but you can survive the entire two Cycles if you only had Catch as power.
Level 15
The dangerous side in this level is the lower right quadrant. That quadrant tends to move the ball faster. But you will still have to deal with it. I suggest completing the upper quadrants, with intentions to hit the Y labeled bricks. Any specials, except Flip, can help your cause. Multi, Catch, Laser, Gun, Slow, Wrap — all can contribute. Wrap allows you to control the ball especially at the extreme corners, when you need to hit the ball by the paddle’s center to neutralize the bounce — a kind of control you need to achieve to succeed without wasting a Life.
A par game in this set of levels is good enough. Next up is level 16, aka U.

On level 14, I usually start to the left. While the ball is working its magic on the upper bricks, nothing is moving downward. And the special on the left can give you something valuable in getting the specials to the right. The best thing to get on the first two specials is a gun. With that, clear out the gray bricks (it’s 50 more pts for each gray brick than you can otherwise get) and it makes it easier to get those two pesky upper right bricks.
