We have a single post on RedTube pertaining to its ascendancy in monthly visits. This was on January of this year, referring to a report by Compete. That post until recently has generated visits making it in the top 6 posts in TechBays (TB). Considering searching redtube in Google places that TB post in the tenth search results page, that only means users are searching deeper on Redtube, for whatever information users could get.

But the story is not only online search. Offline, for the past two weekends I hear a lot about RedTube as a topic of conversation or joke. It seems it’s easier to say it, even embed (I’ve seen in one particular site), compared to YouPorn or PornoTube. The latter two’s names may not be even as discreet or euphemistic as the former, you can argue.

Reviewing current stats (in Alexa) also point that RedTube achieved its rank faster than YouPorn, but YouPorn still ranks higher at 31 on a 3-month average, compared to RedTube’s 52. But RedTube in that span of time moved 83 places up compared to YouPorn’s 8 places. On the other hand, PornoTube’s rank has fallen 33 places to 223. Some screenshots of the stats below.

RedTube’s homepage shows the following tabs: New Videos | Top Rated | Channels | DVDs | Live Cams. RedTube has the biggest video screen preview size compared to the other two. Its homepage features either straight or lesbian videos.

YouPorn’s homepage shows the following tabs: New Videos | Top Rated | Most Viewed | Upload. YouPorn has the second biggest video screen preview size among the three. Its homepage features video types similar to RedTube’s.

PornoTube’s homepage shows the following main section: Latest Videos. A smaller almost unreadable menu shows the following: Videos | Channels | Feeds | Add Media | VOD Theater. PornoTube has the smallest video screen preview size. Its homepage features video types beyond that of RedTubes.

There are other sites such as Xtube.com. Still Redtube surpassed it as you will you see in this Compete snapshot. Even the hyped Eroshare is left in the dust on this report.

Let’s see if RedTube can surpass YouPorn within the year.
