Online free financial management application Mint introduces a new feature, SpendSpace, that allows you to compare your expenses on specific categories (grocery, auto, utilities, restaurant, etc.) against the average expense of your city, of your state, or nationwide. Mint is a service that continuously finds ways for you to save money. Our previous coverage of Mint is here.
This new feature is under the Spending Trend tab. Figure 1 shows the option to select city or state of comparison. The green bar is the average, while orange is your actual expense. Figure 2 shows the option to select which category you want to compare with.
Mint currently only supports US accounts.
